BOOTS
The Challenge
Boots UK challenged us to bring their festive "Gift Happily Ever After" campaign to life within a physical retail environment. The objective was to move beyond a traditional shopping layout and create a fully immersive pop-up experience. We needed to transform a blank retail canvas into a magical destination that captured the wonder of a fairytale while facilitating product sampling and social engagement.
The Idea
We envisioned a space where the pages of a storybook came to life. Our concept focused on "enchanted retail" - blending high-end set design with interactive technology to transport shoppers into a fantasy world. By harmonizing digital innovation with tactile beauty experiences, we created a narrative-led environment where every interaction felt like a plot point in a Christmas story.
The Experience
-
CGI Enchanted Mirror: We developed a bespoke digital installation that served as the centerpiece of the activation. This "magic mirror" used CGI technology to place guests inside the fairytale, creating highly shareable, personalized photo opportunities.
-
Fairytale Finish: A dreamlike makeup station designed to feel like a royal dressing room, offering visitors professional makeovers and product trials in an ethereal setting.
-
The Sampling Wall: An architectural focal point featuring curated gifting moments. We designed the wall to frame products like art, turning the act of sampling into an interactive discovery.
-
Atmosphere: Through whimsical prop styling and cohesive branding, we ensured the "Happily Ever After" narrative was woven into every touchpoint of the customer journey.
The Results
The activation successfully bridged the gap between a high-street retailer and a theatrical experience. The Boots pop-up captivated visitors, driving footfall and social sharing through its "Instagrammable" set design. This project showcased our ability to deliver experiential retail design that creates emotional connections, proving that with the right creative vision, a shop can become a story.
