The Challenge
We were commissioned to produce and promote a two-year student festival in Leeds, transforming the student union into a fully immersive event space. The challenge was to design a multi-stage experience that combined creative theming with major music acts, delivering a festival atmosphere inside an unexpected venue.

 

The Idea
Our approach was to reimagine the venue as a paradise of themed environments. Each room was transformed into a unique world, offering guests the freedom to explore and lose themselves in immersive production, bold décor, and high-energy performances.

 

The Experience

• Seven Unique Stages: Each stage transported attendees into a different themed environment, from enchanted forests to deep-sea dance-offs.

• Headline Performers: The lineup featured top UK acts including Hot Chip, Jungle, Crazy P, Fatman Scoop, So Solid Crew, Big Narstie, AJ Tracey, Ghetts, and Mike Skinner.

• Immersive Themes: Guests explored environments including a Bollywood-inspired boudoir, a haunting freakshow, and more - each packed with bespoke décor, lighting, and interactive features.

 

The Results
The Leeds Student Festival was an instant success, selling out months in advance and delivering a sensory journey that blended cutting-edge production, immersive design, and standout music talent. It became a landmark event for students and demonstrated our expertise in transforming unexpected spaces into unforgettable festivals.
