SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR

Through a unique collaboration with pop icon Sophie Ellis-Bextor, we imagined, designed and delivered an unforgettable limited-edition gin with a twist. 

The story of Pink Marmalade Gin began in late 2019 at an enchanted Alice in Wonderland-themed private party. Inspired by the event’s whimsical garden aesthetic, we designed a bespoke gin fountain to complement the setting. But the question remained: what should flow through the fountain? The answer led us to create our very own naturally color-changing artisan gin. By using the exotic butterfly pea flower, this gin transformed from blue to pink when mixed with tonic - a perfect touch for a unique party experience.

This was no ordinary gin, it was a small-batch dry gin infused with 13 botanicals, delivering a zesty, peppery, floral flavour. The rave reviews from guests, along with countless requests to purchase it, inspired us to bottle it - and from that moment onwards, Pink Marmalade Gin was born.

As we entered 2020, COVID-19 and the lockdown changed everything. With uncertainty in the events world, we shifted our focus entirely to Pink Marmalade Gin and started selling some of our bespoke props to sustain ourselves during the pandemic. One of these props, a customised fibreglass horse with mirror-ball hooves and Ziggy Stardust face paint, was spotted by none other than Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who purchased it for her upcoming tour! We explained our current focus on Pink Marmalade Gin and sent her a bottle, fortunately she loved it and from there, the idea for a limited-edition bottle and a series of signature cocktails was born. The result was a bespoke bottle of gin and two unique drinks: "Murder on the Dancefloor," a cranberry and agave martini with lavender garnish, and "Crying at the Discotheque," a lychee, lime, and mint martini.

This partnership with Sophie Ellis-Bextor is a testament to our creative flair and expertise in brand activations. Beyond just a product, this gin represented a brand experience—a celebration of flavour, design, and sophistication. We specialise in brand collaborations and partnerships that push creative boundaries, and this was no exception. From concept ideation to product creation, our team brought Sophie’s vision to life, crafting a one-of-a-kind limited-edition gin that captured her bold personality and style.

Our collaboration with Sophie also demonstrated the power of building trust and strong relationships, merging the spirit of both brands seamlessly. Additionally, we committed to donating a portion of the profits to the WeMakeEvents campaign, supporting the events industry that both brands are deeply connected to and that was heavily affected by the pandemic.
